76ers assistant coach and Temple alum Aaron McKie is mentoring undrafted rookie Dionte Christmas, the shooter from Temple currently on the Sixers/Nets team in this week’s Orlando Summer League. “It’s a brotherhood,” McKie said. “I’m extending my hand to him to help him as much as I can in his development and possibly making a team.”
In last night’s summer league game, Christmas scored a team-high 18 points knocking down four of five three-pointers. Jrue Holiday had 12 points including two threes, four assists and three turnovers.
The Sixers have offered Andre Miller a one-year, $6 million deal whereas Miller wants three years and $30 million, per Kate Fagan of the Philadelphia Inquirer. GM Ed Stefanski said, “Lou Williams is going to have an opportunity here. We’ve been grooming him for four years. We gave him a contract last year to play basketball, so he’ll have a great opportunity.”
