Andre Miller meets with Knicks
July 20th, 2009 | by Kevin Hanson |Free-agent point guard Andre Miller met with Knicks president Donnie Walsh today, according to Frank Isola of the NY Daily News.
Although the two met at the team’s training facility in Greenburgh (NY), it’s not believed that Miller was offered a contract, per Isola.
To sign Miller for more than the mid-level exception, the Knicks would need to do a sign-and-trade with the Sixers, which would likely include point guard Chris Duhon.

Last week, however, the New York Post reported that the Knicks were prepared to offer Miller the mid-level exception of $5.8 million.
What I don’t understand is if the Knicks get Miller for one-year and $5.8 million, why the hell would Miller have turned down the same thing from the Sixers?
While the Sixers are certainly not an elite team in the East, they are definitely a step (or two) above the Knicks.
